Milleara Primary School is a  school with a staff strongly committed to the well-being and development of every student. The school, located in North Rd. Avondale Heights, prides itself on being a caring and friendly school community. Some people have described us as a ‘country school in the city’.

$75 000 Federal Grant

We were very pleased recently to hear that we were successful in gaining a $75000 grant from the Federal Government. This money will be spent over the next 8 months on upgrading our main corridor. It is planned to raise  the ceiling height in the corridor to improve natural lighting, re-level floors and paint some exterior timber work.

Ride2School Day

Our school was proud to receive a prize cheque for $2500 from Councillor Paul Giuliano , the Mayor of Moonee Valley, for having the highest percentage of students participating in Ride2School Day earlier this year. The school student leaders thanked the mayor  for attending and the council for providing the prize which will be used for improved bike facilities.

 Watersavers Watertank

Our 20 000 litre water tank has arrived and been installed. We are all hoping for rain so that it will fill and we will be able to water our front garden and save our 40 year old gum trees.
